Crowcombe Court Wedding — Somerset

Crowcombe Court is a Grade I listed Georgian manor house, built in 1739, on the edge of the Quantock Hills in Somerset. An exclusive-use venue, it offers grand ceremony spaces including the Great Hall with its Italian plasterwork and limestone flagstones, set within rolling grounds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Photographing at Crowcombe always feels like a privilege — the architecture is genuinely beautiful, and the Quantocks frame the house in every direction. The grandeur of the interiors paired with that wild, hilly setting gives me a real range to work across in a single day.

Why Crowcombe Court is exceptional for photography

The Great Hall is a showstopper — the ornate Italian plasterwork and stone floors create a dramatic, elegant setting for ceremonies and portraits, and the period rooms are full of detail for getting-ready and candid shots. It’s a house that gives me beautiful frames at every turn.

Step outside and the grounds open onto the Quantock Hills, so I have sweeping countryside for couple portraits and a wonderful sense of place. With exclusive use of the house and its grounds, the day flows without interruption, which lets me capture both the grand and the quietly intimate.
