Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 May 2026
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information I collect when you use this site or get in touch, why I collect it, and the rights you have over it.
Who I am
This website is operated by Jessica Joy Weddings(“I”, “me”), a wedding photographer based in Taunton, Somerset, United Kingdom. I am the data controller responsible for your personal information. You can reach me at jess@jessjoy.co.uk.
What I collect
I only collect the information you choose to give me through the enquiry form. That can include your name, email address, your wedding date, venue and location, an approximate guest count, the collection you’re interested in, how you heard about me, and the message you write. I don’t ask for any sensitive information and you’re never required to share more than you’re comfortable with.
How I use it
Your details are used for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry and, if you go on to book, to plan and deliver your wedding photography. I read every message personally. I don’t add you to a marketing list and I never sell or share your information for advertising.
The lawful basis for this is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me.
Who processes it
A small number of trusted providers help run this site and handle your message on my behalf. They only act on my instructions:
- Resend — delivers the enquiry form to my inbox as an email.
- Vercel — hosts and serves the website.
- WordPress (cms.jessjoy.co.uk) — stores the photographs and page content shown on the site.
How long I keep it
Enquiry messages are kept for as long as we’re in conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. If you book, I keep what’s needed to fulfil and account for your booking. You can ask me to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the information I hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to or restrict how it’s used. To exercise any of these, just email me at jess@jessjoy.co.uk.
If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site uses only a single preference cookie to remember your cookie choice — there’s no advertising or third-party tracking. You can read the detail in the Cookie Policy.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised date above.
